Dr. Karlin has practiced plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 20 years. He also practices phlebology, an area of medicine that specifically focuses on the treatment of varicose and spider vein conditions. An exciting new area of his practice is his introduction of anti-aging and hormone replacement. And to supplement these anti-aging therapies, Dr. Karlin incorporates the most advanced non-surgical age reversing facials and micro-current treatments to turn back the hands of the clock of time.

The Nova Cosmetic Centers are very fortunate to have the talents of a plastic surgeon with such prestigious credentials. Dr Karlin, originally from New England, previously practiced in Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, and St. Petersburg, Florida prior to becoming the Medical Director of Nova Cosmetic Center in Orlando, Florida. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University and attended Duke University, where he received his Doctor of Medicine Degree. He served residencies in general surgery at the University of Miami, Florida and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His residency in plastic surgery was completed at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he was an instructor in plastic surgery.

Dr. Karlin is a member of many local, national, and international medical societies. He has authored numerous articles in respected journals and has made many television and radio appearances, including CNN, KPLA, Eye on L.A., KMAX, KZLA and KGL. To ensure that he provides his patients with the most up-to-date techniques, he continuously participates in seminars and conferences.

Dr. Karlin, known by former patients as "the best surgeon" in Palm Springs in performing facial, breast, and liposuction surgeries, is also skilled in performing a variety of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. These include breast augmentation; breast reduction; laser facial resurfacing; face, neck, and brow lifting; eyelid surgery; rhinoplasty; collagen injections; BOTOX®; and most other cosmetic procedures. Dr. Karlin is one of the few surgeons in the country who performs breast augmentation by using the increasingly popular belly button incision to insert the implant, and he is instrumental in bringing this advanced approach to the Orlando area. He is a pioneer in the field of facial contouring to enhance and beautify facial structure. In addition, Dr. Karlin founded Vein Centers of America and performs sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy.
